Follow These 5 Rules To Make Amazing Apps

What makes an amazing app? How do I make my app amazing? We’ll answer these questions and more in today’s article.
1: Beautiful UI ONLY
Make sure your app’s UI is clean, sleek, and modern. Don’t junk it up with ads. A small banner at the bottom of your app is alright but refrain from playing an ad every time a user clicks a button or covering your app’s content with a dismissible ad. If you don’t know how to make your app “modern” or “sleek”, stick to Apple’s native UI and refrain from excessively using custom fonts or UI or get inspiration on Dribble.
2: Keep It Fast
It’s the difference between riding a horse to work or driving your car. Don’t clog up your app with bad functions or calculations, ads, or server-dependent UI. If you can make your code more efficient, do it. Make your loading screens exciting and engaging (not just a cool animation) so your user doesn’t notice the gaps between taps.
3: Keep It Minimal
Try not to add a bunch of confusing buttons on your home screen. Too many features in one place confuse users. If you need to have lots of functions from the start, try using tiles like the Home and SmartThings app use. This limits your user’s confusion and shows your information in a clean and sleek way. If you still can’t get your app together in a clean way, go onto Dribble and get some inspiration. If you STILL can’t figure it out, get in touch with a designer.
4: Always Earn With Freemium/Donations
Always make features of your app free, or at least give users a free trial of your app before purchase. Better yet, make the entire app free and earn off of donations. If the temples can do it, why can’t you?
5: Always Have “Goldilocks” Features
Not too many, not too little. Just the right amount of features. Too many and your settings go down so far someone could get lost in them, too little and your app’s experience is way too rigid and not half as useful as it could be.
That’s it! Good luck with your apps and make sure to follow me if you liked the article!
